In The Kitchen is also a private dining salon where the cuisine and ambiance reflect our personal aesthetic and dedicated relationships with local farmers. Dining In The Kitchen is a completely unique experience.
An intimate and elegant table for up to 12 guests is set with one of a kind place settings, linens and an eclectic mix of silverware, glassware, candlelight and seasonal flower arrangements. There is an organic beauty to both the service and cooking with our guests seated within direct view of our open kitchen. You will have the opportunity to watch and learn as your meal is cooked and plated before your eyes.
Each dinner is individually crafted, letting the bounty of the season shine. The chefs are happy to create special menus based on guest’s dietary preferences or reason for gathering; birthday, anniversary, graduation etc.

Begin your private salon experience by walking up a vegetable and herb-lined pathway, which features seasonal vegetables that are used in your meal. The dining room/kitchen sits inside a beautifully renovated bungalow in downtown Nevada City. Guests have the opportunity to watch in the artful preparation and cooking of their meals and ask any questions they might have. There is ample on and off street parking behind In The Kitchen. We are a wheelchair accessible building.
Price per person is $50 and includes tax and tip.
There is an 8 person minimum reservation for private dinner.

Guests are welcome to arrange live entertainment or a seminar by pre-arrangement, bring CDs or an iPod for music, or a DVD for screening. There is a $50 set-up fee for screenings.
In The Kitchen is a cooking school and working kitchen located in downtown Nevada City, California. In The Kitchen is based out of a lovingly renovated bungalow cum kitchen-classroom and dinning salon. We offer cooking classes, demonstration-based private dinning events and educational nutrition workshops.
