If you have been reading this blog for a few years, you may remember our first adventure in harvesting olives and pressing them into oil.

Earlier this month was olive mission #3! It was such a cold day that I stayed home with Felix while Joe and the Golden Bear crew headed to the orchards with their tarps and sticks, collecting a total of 5,000 lbs of olives!

Last night was our post harvest pizza party where we get to split up the oil and have our first taste! The consensus was that it was slightly sweeter and more buttery this year……..the pizzas were the perfect way to have our first taste of our liquid gold!
